Chair Wars and a Beautiful Day

Plans got a little changed around so yesterday I didn't get to the chair.  Instead I walked and mended fences.  It was such a nice day out, something we haven't gotten this month at all!  So I spent the majority of it outdoors.

I then made a list and headed to the Fleet Farm.  It is a good hour away so when I go I try and make the trip worthwhile.  So after that, a trip for lunch and then to the bookstore to peruse books for 3 hours!  Yup! I am terrible in that regard.  I book I looked at the last time I was there, "On My Swedish Island" was haunting me since so I really read it good there.  I may order it used somewhere.  I just like books that write about simplicity, living with the seasons, eating locally etc.

So the chair didn't get worked on. 

BUT I am in the process of the first coat of primer right now.  Had to give my back a break.  Then in 2 hours, sand and a second coat.  Then sand and start getting serious!

Sanity Check Please

Here is my latest project.  After the last one I swore I would never do another!  But during the process of making that one I had a "vision" of this one for the upcoming "Taste of Dressage" my Dressage club is putting on in October.  I joined last year and haven't participated much due to a lot of life interuptions.  But I would like to enter something into the silent auction and this is one thing I came up with.
